This is a great laser with little to no down time that helps reverse the signs of skin aging. It uses the same technology as a fraxel creating millions of microscopic treatment zones in the skin. The skin repairs itself stimulating collagen, therefor improving its overall tone and texture.
Having completed several Fraxel treatments over the past years I was a little skeptical of what results I would get. Deciding to do my chest and hands, I lathered my chest with numbing cream and left my hands to test what the level of discomfort would be.
My biggest concern was the pigment, so I went for the Permea laser hoping it would offer me more visible results, The pigment spots were most pronounced on my hands and had not been reduced to the degree I wanted with other treatments.
The treatment was virtually pain free and very quick. After the treatment my skin felt warm and had a red “blush” to it. Extremely tolerable!!
So now a week later my chest skin still feels a little rough but I notice improvement every day. It also appears to have diminished the pigment on my hands already!! I am very pleased with the results, including that the treatment has little down time is definitely a plus!!
It is recommended to have at least 2-3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart. I can see that it will give an overall improvement in the appearance of your skin and with several treatments more visible results from collagen stimulation. It would be my recommendation to have 4 to 6 treatments for optimum improvement. The results of more radiant skin with diminished pore appearance make this a great treatment and a good maintenance laser.*
